Oil Pick-up Height :

Looking for an easy way to measure the oil pick-up to pan clearance?  The picture is pretty self explanatory.  Before you mash down on your little spot of clay with the oil pan, make sure the pan rail gaskets are in place.  You are shooting for 1/4" of pan to pick-up clearance.   Although some people like to spot weld the pick-up to the pump housing, I have good luck just using red loctite.
