What Are Your Big Show Plans?

With summer fully upon us, it is important to decide which of the big event shows to attend. Here are some of the shows I am considering. Feel free to add your favorites to the list!
I have been to the Mopar Nationals in Columbus for the last several years, and love the fact that it is held at a 1/4 mile dragstrip where you can see the cars do what they did best. The cruise scene on Friday and Saturday nights is active, and you can camp right next to the track if you want.
I have heard good stuff about Carlisle in terms of number and quality off the cars, but have not attended their show. It is twice as far as Columbus for me, doesn't have much of an organized cruise scene that I know of, and is not held at a strip where you can see the cars perform. I won't make it this year, but maybe next year.
I was at the inaugural year for Monster Mopar weekend at Indy. Nice turnout on Saturday, but rain probably kept some people away altogether, and sent others home early Sunday. I will definitely plan on attending this one again- closer to home for me, held at a drag strip, plenty of places to stay nearby.
For the all brands shows, I like the fact that the GoodGuys show comes into town with a lot of high quality cars of all makes. They get a nice variety at a reasonable price, and it is less than a hour away from home for me.
Have never done the Power Tour. Seems like a pretty cool idea, but I do enjoy staying in one place and spending a few days walking the site more than being a part of a mobile car show with a different hotel or campground every night, and a lot of traffic jams when >1000 cars pass converge on smaller towns that just are not equipped to handle the volume of traffic and people that are passing through. For me, it would be more fun to arrive a day in advance at a town the Power Tour was coming through, then sit and watch the show roll past.
The MCACN show at Rosemont is a must see event. it is well run, salutes different series of cars every year, and manages to be fresh and relevant each year. If you get there late on Sunday and hang around til closing, you can see and smell the cars as they start up and exit the event.
Those are some of the highlights for me. Let us know where you are headed this year!
