Hello. I have a 1970 Charger 500/SE and would like to replace the woodgrain panels on the dash. What is the best way to do this. It looks like I can get a woodgrain kit that attaches to the bezel for about $700 and includes all 5 pieces. Then there are also kits with an adhesive backing for about $100. I'm not sure what the right approach is here.

If I get the more expensive kit, does that include some kind of backing plate so you would just un-screw and remove the old and then attach the new panels? I assume the cheaper $100 version requires you just to attach it via the adhesive which I'm guessing is difficult to get it straight and even. Any thoughts or recommendations on this?

Thank you for the advice.
