Parts car- registration/Plates/Taxes?

I am looking at picking up a 66 b body complete minus motor with the intention of parting both for my project as well as parting out.
Does anyone know if this need to be treated as a regular car purchase regarding registration/plates/taxes?

If you are going to part it I wouldn't bother, unless you have some local ordinances against letting a car sit with no registration. All the scrapper will want for the shell is a valid title, and it doesn't have to be in your name.
