Monster Mopar in Indy is just ove 2 weeks away - who is going?

Joe Setaro and I are bringing his '70 Road Runner convertible.

I know Super Scott Spirakes is going (please don't let this deter you from going :D Just kiddin'!)

The Knaack family plans to be there

JoAnne Nabor is going with the intention of selling her Daytona!

Scott Vickery will be attending, but his 1974 Road Runner is not ready yet for the trip.

I would like to go but my car isn't ready . Laid off work 2 weeks ago so no gas money for trip either . I would be a willing passenger!

Good times! Despite the rain... A few of us from SDAC-Chicagoland Chapter, Hoosier Chapter and OVC Chapter we out spreading the SDAC love. We met a lot of Shelby Dodge / Turbo Mopar enthusiasts and made some new friends!

For racing...

Reeves, Tommy and I entered "Street Eliminator" and only got one time run Saturday and no passes (any class) Sunday due to rain. We turned some heads and got some traffic in the pits, especially after we ran 10.8X, 10.79 and 11.08 (missed 2nd :( ) respectively

Angelo was also in Street plus Trophy and box/no-box and since he won 1st round in box/no-box (congrats!) got double his entry fee back... trophy participants got their entry free next year, and any class they didnt run got the scheduled payout divided by the # of entrants, so overall not too bad, and better than many other national events that have a "we cannot control the weather" rain policy

For next year...

Despite rumors of a return to Gateway, Monster Mopar will stay in INDY and will also still be an early fall event. I am working with the event promoter and we WILL have a FWD/Sport Compact class on the schedule in 2012 :D
