A Valiant Effort

I've been dealing with a constant problem with the EGR Tube on this car. I can't stand the gurgling exhaust sound when this tube is loose.
I can not effectively tighten (reach) the collar nut at the base of the intake manifold for the EGR Tube with the engine in the car. Specifically this is the end that the tube connects to the underside of the intake not the EGR end.
I tightened it before I put the intake on when I rebuilt the head but of course you can never get it positioned "correctly" for the EGR because the EGR is attached to the exhaust manifold so you kind of eyeball it. Well, it's always a little off after you get the intake installed. So you have to move the tube a little and that inevitably loosens the collar nut or bends the tube.
I need to tighten this collar nut with the engine in the car but there's absolutely no way to get my hand on the nut, yet even come close to fitting a wrench in there with the firewall in the way. How did the dealership replace that tube in the car it back in the day? I DON'T want to take the intake off again. You can't line it up straight with the EGR if it's NOT in the car.
I even bought a REAL 1986 Chrysler dealership Repair Manual published by Chrysler and all it says is "install the EGR Tube". I am desperate for some help at this point. Any help would be great. Thank you.
